Terms of Use

The short versionYou keep your code and own what you create with the app. Anything the AI helps produce is yours. Review it before you rely on it. Be decent to the people you share rooms and leaderboards with. The app is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of The Termi Protocol application, websites and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Termi Protocol is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any third-party AI provider. All product names, logos and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used only to indicate tools you can connect yourself (BYOK).

1. The Service

The Termi Protocol does not sell, resell, host or provide any AI model APIs or access. It is a 3D simulation and visualization tool that renders the 2D terminal-based workflows of AI coding agents (file reads, writes, shell commands, git operations etc.) as live 3D choreography inside a virtual room. You run the agents yourself (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, local tools or any BYOK CLI agent). We only simulate the visible steps of those workflows in 3D. The Service is under active development and ships in chapters (“Protocols”); features described as planned may change, slip or be removed.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.

3. Your account & acceptable use

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials and API keys secure, and you are responsible for activity under your account. You agree not to:

use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or infringing purposes;
attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or others’ data;
abuse automated/bot traffic, or circumvent our security or rate limits;
misuse social or multiplayer features (planned London/Moscow protocols) to harass, abuse, or impersonate others;
violate the terms of any AI provider you connect.

4. Your content & code

You retain all rights to your code, files and content. We claim no ownership over them, and, consistent with our local-first design, we do not access or store them. You are solely responsible for your content and for backing it up.

5. AI output

Code and content generated by AI agents may be inaccurate, insecure or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing, testing and deciding whether to use any AI output. The Service visualizes a process; it does not guarantee correctness.

6. Purchase, license & refunds

The full app is unlocked with a single one-time purchase (the “Lifetime Pass”). There is no subscription and no recurring billing. Payments are processed securely by our checkout provider; by purchasing you also accept their terms. Unless stated otherwise:

your payment is a one-time charge that grants a lifetime, non-transferable license to use the app;
there is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel;
prices and the features included may change for future purchasers, but access you have already unlocked remains;
where required by law (e.g. EU/UK/Türkiye consumer rules), you may have a statutory right of withdrawal/refund (typically 14 days). Because the app is digital content delivered immediately, that right can end once access begins and you have acknowledged it; outside those statutory rights, all sales are final and one-time payments are non-refundable.

Taxes may apply depending on your location.

7. Leaderboard & public profile

If you sign in, your chosen username, avatar, level/league and ranking may be displayed publicly on the leaderboard, and in related promotional areas of the Service and our website (for example, a recent-activity feed on the homepage). Handles shown outside the leaderboard are partially masked. Don’t use a username or image that is offensive or infringes others’ rights. You can request removal from the public leaderboard and any such promotional display by contacting us.

8. AI Simulation and External AI Integrations

The Termi Protocol is only a 3D simulation that visualizes the 2D workflows of AI agents you run yourself. We do not sell, provide, proxy or resell any model APIs, tokens or AI inference. Your agents execute on your machine or directly against the provider keys you supply. All costs, rate limits and terms are between you and the AI provider you chose. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, GitHub, Amazon or any other AI provider. Trademarks are used solely to indicate which tools your agents can be.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, 3D assets, designs, and the “Termi Protocol” name and marks, is owned by us and protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service as intended.

10. Beta & disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or code, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity) will survive.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Istanbul, Türkiye have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
